I was very excited when I heard that daniel(ink.) was accepted to be part of the September Perth Upmarket. This was our first time at this market and I was hoping to meet lots of new customers. I wasn’t disappointed!

I write a letter to Jim Parsons asking if I can send him one of my shirts. Later, we got word that he wore one of the shirts! How exciting is that!

Ever since I was 14, I've been a dedicated follower of Port Adelaide. I'm drawn to them, perhaps because they've long been the underdog and I love their blue and black colours. Players like Brett Ebertt and Justin Westhoff, who never give up, are among my favourites.

In my early teens, I became a fan of Good Charlotte, Joel Madden's band. I admire Joel's style and wanted to emulate his hair, though my parents weren't keen. Seeing him perform live is a dream of mine.

I'm considering sending a tee to The Voice in hopes Joel will wear my black #3—it's a long shot, but worth a try!

In high school, I started attending TAFE part-time and fell in love with painting, eventually enrolling three days a week after graduation. Despite needing assistance due to my CP, I had great teachers and received valuable advice from nearby artist Robert Juniper, whom I fondly knew as "Bob." Last year, facing health challenges, I explored screen printing and created my first design, #5, which earned positive feedback from friends. This sparked a conversation with my dad about starting my own business. Sadly, Robert Juniper passed away earlier this year. His guidance will always be cherished.

Last November, I launched my daniel(ink.) t-shirts at the Darlington Arts Festival despite bad weather. Terry, the neighboring store owner, loved my shirts and bought one for his son, who uses a wheelchair. Terry is also a Darlington Social Cricket Club player and invited me to score for them. Nervous but eager, I accepted despite knowing nothing about cricket. The players were supportive and helped me learn. I now enjoy weekends scoring, making friends, and savouring the excellent afternoon tea provided by the team.

Four years ago, I began playing wheelchair basketball, initially struggling with basic skills. Despite a shaky start, including throwing the ball out of the court, I persisted due to my friendship with teammates. Over time, I improved and scored my first goals in the first two seasons. Last year, I joined the WA state team, practicing five days a week, which was exhausting but rewarding. After my 19th birthday, I introduced able-bodied friends to the sport and enjoyed showing them the ropes.

I admit, I'm a big fan of Neighbours. It's a love that began when my Granny Annie introduced me to the show at age 9. I enjoy the dramatic and sometimes funny story lines, and my favourite character is Valentina. I feel like I have two homes, one in Perth and one in Melbourne, due to my dedication to the show. I record every episode if I'm out and want fewer ads and more double episodes!
